About Us

The Directorate of Training, also known as Directorate of Union Territories Civil Services (UTCS), has the responsibility of imparting foundation trainings, induction trainings and mid-career trainings to the officers/officials of the Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCTD), its local/autonomous bodies and corporations. Trainings are imparted to the IAS Probationers of the AGMUT Cadre, Probationers of the Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar  and Lakshwadeep Islands Civil Services (DANICS) and to those recruited through the Delhi Subordinate Staff Selection Board.

 


Located in East Delhi, the Directorate is easily  accessible .New Delhi Railway Station and  Old  Delhi  Railway Station are approxiamtely 10 Kms  from the Directorate. Inter-State Bus Terminals   Kashmere Gate and  Anand Vihar are at 8 Kms and 5 Kms respectively. Anand. Vihar and Welcome   Metro Stations are also close to the Directorate. Airport is about 30 Kms.  

The Directorate is spread in an area of  9000 sq mts.Administrative Block, a Hostel  Block , an Auditorium and Residential Block . The campus has anAdministrative Block has offices, 5 lecture halls , 2 Conference room and a library. The lecture halls have LCD projecters and interactive boards and othe audio-visual  facillities.Library     has a collection of more  than 12000 books on  various subjects. The  hostel block has 24 double occupancy air-conditioned room with attached toilets. It also has dinning hall and a recreation room. A separate gym with  modern  machines has also  been provided in the Block. The Directorate also has air-conditioned auditorium with seating capacity of 175. 

 

 

As a training centre, the Directorate over the years has grown in to a matured institution, constantly  defining  its role and responsibilities to meet the needs of the changing times. The Directorate is committed to imparting quality training and making training activities broad-based with  workshops, panel discussions and programmes involving civil society organizations and  resident welfare associations.
